We have a weekly timetable of classes suitable for all levels of fitness for those over 50. Whether you are looking to lose weight, tone up, improve your balance or simply get out and meet new like-minded people.
Feeling anxious about coming to your first class is completely normal as Jackie will tell you:
“I thought about joining classes for weeks but never had the courage to take it further, I was scared of meeting new people, that everyone would be fitter than me and would think adversely about a middle aged menopausal, very overweight and very unfit woman. Sam doesn’t know this but having booked my first class I made an excuse not to come it was so overwhelming it was easier not too.
I finally plucked up the courage and came to my first class walked away feeling very silly that I was so worried. Sam’s classes aren’t like going to a Gym there are people who all have different backgrounds, different levels of fitness and health restraints that impact on the way they exercise.
Every class has improved my health, strength and flexibility. I am no longer on medication and am navigating the menopause HRT free. I have increased my social circle and made some friends for life that I wouldn’t have had the pleasure of meeting. I have lost loads of weight. I have more confidence and self-esteem but I am definitely not the finished article there is a long way to go and I can’t lie it is hard work but the beauty of Sam’s class is that you don’t actually realise you are working as hard as you are because you are having fun!”
My online programs are for those who find it difficult to get to my group classes or live further away.
The beauty of the online programs is that they can be done in the comfort of your own home at a time convenient to you.
You still have access to our online community so you can chat with likeminded people and I am available via email to answer any questions you may have.
This year we have launched the Menopause fit Program a life changing program for women struggling with peri menopausal, menopausal and postmenopausal symptoms. We are also very excited to be running Menopause Fit workshops later this year.
The Get Better Balance Program is for men and women who are struggling with balance issues. It is easy to follow and you can work at your own level. You don’t need any specialist equipment to get started and you can start to feel the benefits straight away. Start with the beginners level and as you find your strength improving you can move onto the intermediate level. Little and often is key and if you need support, help or encouragement please get in touch.
I was worried that as a 50 something overweight lady I wouldn’t be able to keep up and would feel the odd one out. But I was wrong, the classes are friendly and welcoming and no one judges abilities in fact there is humour when getting it wrong, I don’t know what I was worried about. In fact I joined Sams ballet fitness class as well.
Working with Sam is a joy she has the ability to make you challenge yourself and work hard without you realising exactly how hard you are working. She has a very gentle teaching manner and her music choice matches.
